MUDRA DAVE

Hi, I am Mudra, the creature pictured on the left who cannot live without food, water and oxygen, where food is absolutely non-negotiable. I have a silly love for Mickey and Minnie Mouse characters from Disney and I still go gaga over stuffed toys.

Academically, I am a first year MSc. student in Kinesiology with an interest in cardiovascular disease prevention and management. I graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology (BKin) with a minor in aging in 2022.

Aarjavi (my cousin sister and co-founder of aarmud) and I, are poles apart – literally. We grew up together, but now live in two different democracies. Nonetheless, we are still incredibly close. Being an only child, the support from my family has been my strength. Though Aarjavi and I don’t live together, we spent almost all of our childhood together – from training in Bharatnatyam (Indian classical dance) to spending all our summer breaks!

I hope I can share my some exciting science, some of my life’s philosophies through the blog posts and some of my love for nature photography. Cheers!

AARJAVI SHAH

I am thrilled to have completed my Master’s program in clinical psychology. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, English Literature and Journalism. Psychology has been a subject that has me, and I could keep reading about it and never know enough about it!

I’ve got an unparalleled love for Sunflowers and Elephants. I have a Bachelors degree in Bharatnatyam. Indian Classical Dance and good old Bollywood songs are my go-to. I’m also a dog-lover who’s never had one as a pet. I can spend my days with a paw-love, cold coffee, Netflix and a book. I also like reading about Indian Mythology and enjoy discussions on Gender, Culture and Literary Theory.

Mudra has been my only sister, but lives across on the other end of the world. We grew up spending our school vacations together and our teenage apart. Much of this was full of banter, but also love. We’ve seen each other and our relationships evolve. She is brilliant with her art and academics and constantly wants to challenge herself, which is how this blog started.

We hope to discuss our academic interests. You’ll see me post more about Psychology and Mental-health. Along with this, we hope to share our journeys with you all, recounting experiences and reminiscing over memories over the years!
