We, as humans are mortal beings. Our lives are shaped in the form of a timeline. The type of lifestyle we engage in decides the length of that timeline.

The question is: Do you choose to maintain a steady timeline, perhaps even extend it? OR Do you purposefully choose to negatively accelerate your timeline?

“My day was productive, I got so much done today, I finished all of my work”
Does productivity equal engagment in health behaviours?

Consider these questions before you answer the previous question:

  1. How do you travel to work? (mostly sitting, mostly walking)
  2. Does your work involve sitting?
  3. Do you eat healthy snacks while you are working?
  4. How much time do you spend sitting in front of a computer/ mobile screen?
  5. Do your leisure activities involve sitting?
  6. How do you choose to spend time with your kids, spouse or your loved ones after work? (mainly sitting and talking, doing physical activity)

We know physical activity is beneficial, yet why are 1.4 BILLION adults in the world today, choose to NOT actively engage in health promoting behaviours?
